ALL ROADS LEAD TO PAIRC UI CHAOIMH

posted 2 Nov 2013, 08:21 by Kanturk Gaa
Sunday 3rd November is a red letter day in the history of Kanturk GAA when all roads will lead to Pairc Ui Chaoimh for the Cork Intermediate Hurling final clash with Eire Og providing the opposition at 1.15pm.
Kanturk return to the final 12 months after suffering defeat to Kilworth with the hope of going a step further and atoning for last years final reversal.
Kanturk's path to the final has seen them defeat Dripsey, Charleville, Meelin, and Fermoy as they bid to put the disappointment of last year well and truly behind them. That they have had luck on their side especially against Charleville & Fermoy is granted, but to win anything, as well as having the team with the skill & qualities to be successful, one must have a little luck along the road.
Eire Og possess marquee players such as Cork senior footballers Ciaran Sheehan & Daniel Goulding both of whom are accomplished hurlers. While Kanturk defeated Eire Og in round two of championship 2012, that result will have no bearing on Sunday's game. Kanturk know that they will have to be at their best if they are to climb the Everest that county championship success is. The game is timed for 1.15pm at Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Sunday 3rd November.
