Kanturk Intermediate footballers face their biggest championship test when they travel to Mallow to face Glanworth in the quarter finals on Wednesday 13th November with a 7.30pm start (Extra time if req). Kanturk's lack of football showed in the opening half of their round 4 victory over Glanmire a week ago. Indeed it was in the last quarter of the game that Kanturk found their game as they notched up the scores which gave them victory. Glanworth will provide a stern test as Kanturk readily know, having lost to the same opposition in last years championship on a 2-09 to 2-11 score line. Since then Glanworth have won division 2 county football league recently and have prepared well for this game. Kanturk on the other hand will have the benefit of a championship game a week ago to prepare them for this big test. With Aghabulloge awaiting the winners in the semi final, only a top drawer performance over the 60 minutes will suffice if Kanturk are to progress.
