Whatever the result in Sunday's county Intermediate final, Kanturk will have little time to refocus as their Cork Intermediate football championship 4th round tie against Glanmire at Mallow on Wednesday 6th November with a 7.30pm with extra time required.
Kanturk defeated Youghal in round one of the championship on May 11th at Fermoy and have been waiting nearly 6 months for this 4th round championship tie. Glanmire should have an advantage as they only have 2 or 3 of their senior hurling team involved with their football team where as Kanturk will have upwards of 13 of their first 15 hurlers on football duty. Kanturk will travel to Mallow to determined to progress to a quarter final tie with Glanworth a week later.
