Kanturk Intermediate hurlers face their opening championship test when travelling to Pairc Ui Rinn on Saturday 28th May for a clash with Cloyne in the Premier Intermediate championship which has an 8pm start.
Kanturk rounded off their preparations with a county division 2 league victory over Eire Og on Friday last on a 1-16 to 0-17 score line.
The game will bring Cork senior hurling selector, Diarmuid O'Sullivan and his brother, former Cork senior player, Paudie, into opposition with Kanturk's inter county trio of Anthony Nash, Lorcain Mc Loughlin & Aidan Walsh.
The winners will meet the winners of Fermoy/Kilworth in round 2A while the losers of both games meet in round 2B to stay in the championship.
