Kanturk Intermediate hurlers eased into the quarter finals of the Cork County IHC when they eased their way to a 3-21 to 0-07 win over Dromina at Ballyhea on Friday 31st August. Kanturk set about gaining the upperhand from the start and raced into a 6 point to 2pt lead after 10 minutes. Dromina's cause was made more difficult when they were reduced to 14 midway through the opening half on a straight red. Mark Healy capped Kanturk's strong play with a goal before the interval giving them a 1-10 to 0-04 lead at the break.
Goals from Anthony Nash (70) and Martin O Riordan during the second half confirmed Kanturk's superiority and they ran out winners on a 3-21 to 0-07 score line. Kanturk now meet Fr O' Neill's in the quarter finals.
