Intermediate Hurlers Win in First League Outing

Kanturk Intermediate Hurlers grabbed two league points in their first league outing of 2013. With the terrible weekend weather forcing most of the club games around the county to be postponed, this tie was never going to be a high scoring affair. 
A hard working team performance provided the victory for Kanturk. The visitors grabbed the first score of the game and never looked back, leading at half time 1-3 to 0-2, playing with a strong wind. Ian Walsh grabbing the all important goal from a long range free that deceived all in the Milford goalmouth to hit the net.
Upon the restart Kanturk upped there intensity and work rate playing against the strong wind. Adding 5 points through good teamwork in the forwards and remaining strong in defence, holding Milford to just 4 points and gaining the all important win.
