The Duhallow U21 football championship final feathering Kanturk & Boherbue is the highlight of the weekend's activities. Fixed for Cullen on Sunday 6th April with a 6pm start, the game brings together two teams who previously met in the opening round of the championship in mid February with Kanturk emerging victorious on a one point margin mainly due to a accuracy of Mark Healy. Kanturk qualified for the final by virtue of a comprehensive victory over Millstreet while Boherbue accounted for Robert Emmetts.
Having been defeated in last years final, Kanturk will be hoping to go one better on this occasion but will face a mighty challenge from a Boherbue side which has piled its trade at Premier Minor level over the past few years. Another close exciting game is in the offing again on Sunday which should draw a large attendance to the Cullen venue.
Patrons intending on travelling to the game are asked to access Cullen via the Boherbue to Knocknagree Road as the bridge on the Rathmore Road side of Cullen is closed.
